Trying to keep the faith...

Original message posted by Hope Gruss on 09-29-06.

Hello:) I am currently trying to keep my Faith in God that he will provide for me to do what I feel He is calling me to do next summer. Next summer, for 3 months I will be going to the Phillippines working as a missionary in a revival ministry to the mountain people. This is my first time doing mission work and I am so worried that the 2500.00 that I have to have for the trip wont come. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone know who all I should contact? I've already contacted family, friends, and area churches. I am sooo pumped and excited for this and I know GOd will provide...but how? Thanks!

Hope, Keep your eyes on Jesus; he'll take care of you. I've seen a personal support letter sent to all family and friends to be the best method. Remember, those who you expect the least from most often give the most. Also consider Matthew 6:

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

God bless!

Greetings from the Philippines Hope. I have lived here for 3 years making a total of 4 years here in the Philippines if I count the one year I lived here in 1994-95(this is my home now)along with my wife who is from here. We operate our ministry on one little understanding, If what you want to do is of the Lord (THE MONEY WILL COME)if it does not then don't do it. I don't know if they will alow my address to stay in this message but if they do and you can see it then you are welcome to write us and ask any questions you might have or we are independent non-denominational fully self supporting from my SSA Disability. If we can be of help just let us know. Rev.Roy Ross/Philippines
